Photography started off as a curious experiment for Zinkie Aw, but has since evolved into a mainstay that helps define who she is. Camera in hand, she packs more courage than she normally would.

Not only is photography a way for Zinkie to spend time with herself, it helps her dwell deeper and relate to the world a little more. Through her observations of life, she hopes to help people log a visual diary of their lives and culture.

Take a look at her latest series: Space Inheritance, Once Upon A Gangnam Style, and Republic of Pulau Semakau.

Zinkie is also co-producer of film Platform 1932, a documentary made in 2008 before the historical Tanjong Pagar Railway Station ceased to operate as the southern-most terminus of the Malayan Railway line.

She is very thankful for chances and the help that bosses, colleagues, family and friends & acquaintances who has helped her along the process of photography.

Cat-lovers like her often say: Curiosity killed the cat.
Zinkie believes, Passion brought it back.

Other than conceptual work, she also enjoys events and documentary photography. Say hello at zinkie.aw@gmail.com or give a poke on facebook. View her stuff on flickr too.
