> KÖHlor Your World; Same Same but Different, Singapore, April 2013
... In this incarnation, the familiar jerry can turns the expected into the unexpected, by morphing into a lamp. Take a look at this series in detail, inspired by how the 'green' from the lamp mingles with the urban environment it is lit in. See it in the KÖH Blog here.

> (2011 Feb - Ongoing)
Of A New Heritage
In 2010 and 2011, many buildings and landmarks in Singapore haven undertaken the path of rebuilding and reconstruction. In this age of rapid modernisation, it is no doubt that there is a need to refurbish what we grew up with. The heritage and memories of these places will remain, and what I call a 'new heritage' will evolve in the next few years -- new memories and new experiences await to inspire more people with these old spaces.
|
> The Year In Pictures 2011 I picked 3 images that represented the some news events of 2011 -- i) Reconstruction/preservation work carried out on what used to be iconic landmarks in Singapore; ii) Reminders that the land formerly owned by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) is now under purview of the Singapore Land Authority; iii) Campaign posters at the General Elections.

>2011, WIP: Traces of Culture
Culture and the awareness of Identity intrigues me; this series explore how people bypass their culture every day, without taking a second look at the culturally-rich places that they live and work in. The idea that 'it is there, but not there', people who are unaware of their culture become 'passers-by' of the culture in the longer run. Culture is depicted via -- a lantern in the reflection on the ground, old-style shophouses and the famous flower-printed building along Temple Street, Chinatown.

> WIP: After Goodbyes -- Aftermath (2011)
What happened after June 30 2011, closure of Tanjong Pagar Railway Station formerly owned by KTM in Singapore.
Part of an umbrella project will document the development and process of change of this cultural icon -- What the Station and its parameters used to be, what it meant to various stakeholders, what it will morph to be along the unknown future years.

> "Dear Margaret" (Oct 2010)
Photo series to remember Margaret Drive (Singapore). Till the day where all will be asked to leave, the people who have worked and lived here will continue to relive the memories of old Margaret Drive for what this place meant to them. I personally enjoy the rich sense of what a small space like this packs life in - the supermarket, old Superbowl, a vibrant and famous food centre, the library, a multi-storey carpark, residential areas as well as an old-school skate place.
